PAST NEWS - 2007

Hey BUMKINHEADS this Saturday November 24 is a huge night for BUMKIN.  We will be playing the number 1 blues club in Colorado.  OSKAR BLUES is a great place to see a show; they have a top notch restaurant with some very good Cajun dishes.  Oskar Blues is also known for their award winning micro brews (Dale’s Pale Ale, and Old Chub, among others).  The night club “Juke Joint” is on the lower level with a walk out patio, they have a nice dance floor, and the acoustics are very favorable.  They were rated best place to hang on Saturday night by Rolling Stone Magazine.  We have seen so many national acts at Oskar’s:  (Billy Branch, Pinetop Perkins, Tommy Castro, Jason Ricci, Guitar Shorty, and many others) it will be an honor for BUMKIN to play on this stage.  This is going to be a kick ass show so come on out and dance off that Thanksgiving pumpkin pie.  www.oskarblues.com


PAST NEWS - 2006

Hey Friends:

We have been busy lining up gigs and are filling our schedule.
We are excited to be playing in several new rooms; here is a brief outlook at some of the new Bumkin venues.

We played at the Duke of Windsor last weekend July 14&15 for the first time, and had a great time!  Thanks to Kathy for having us and being a great hostess.  Also a BIG thanks to Mark the Soundguy for making us sound soooo good!  The venue is awesome and so was the food (gotta love the Chicken Melt!).  Thanks to everybody for coming out and partying with us - hope to see you there in the near future.

On Thursday Aug 3 we will play The Sweetwater Lounge in Westminster (S.W. corner of Wadsworth Blvd. and 100th ave.) The farthest south so far.  This is one of those nights where the club gets to see how much they like us, and we get to see how much we like the club.  If both parties agree then we get invited back for some weekend action.  Of course a wild crowd would help both sides agree.  So you Thursday people let's rock Westminster Bumkin style!

The following night Friday Aug 4 we will play The Outlaw Saloon in Lyons.  We think that the Outlaw will be a great fit for Bumkin.  The times I have been there I've seen cowboy hats in the crowd, that usually means we are in for a "let's get r done" kind of night.  They also serve food, and Lyons is a nice place to have a good time.

All gigs start at about 9 P.M. unless otherwise stated.  Be safe and bring a driver, or use the Bumkin limo.  See you there!
